CAULIS THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS ???

The caulis i sowed in early april are only the size of golf balls while my mate  next door has them the size of your napper, can i feed them with any thing or is it too late? who said size doesnt matter???

If you can see the curds, they won't grow much more.

Just be happy and think of the price you'd pay for min-veg in the supermarkets!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Yes, mine were that size or smaller. Between 6 plants I just about had a bag of sweets  :)

Manure previous year.

Grow in very firm ground.

Water in dry weather.

Provide some shade in hot weather.

Make sure you've not got club root.

Etc. etc. !!!!!

I was told that the only ones that are easy to grow are winter ones, cos our soil is too dry in the summer ::)..so back to the drawing board  :nowink:

The winter ones also have an advantage, as far as I'm concerned, in that the club root is dormant.

Look at the roots of your brassicas and if they are all knobbled, twisted and gnarled - I fear you have found a problem. Try searching the internet for a picture of club root on any old brassica as a check.
