I had a "Pet Talk" with the Chucks last night they are all over the place. It does not matter to me but there is a public foot path and I have visions of a out of control dog off the lead chomping a chuck.
The talk started like this "Chucks dont free range to far there's a public footpath just over there and there is DANGER did they listen? No they are off running down the field the missus thinks there off on there holidays!!  Chuck heads popping up every where.
I have come up with a solution.  A small polite notice.

That's a great idea Roughlee

I live down a single track road and on a very odd occasion some dogs have wondered down, needless to say I get VERY nasty,  it wouldn't be too bad if they were under control

I don't mean to be nasty but how would they like it if I took my 5 dogs for a walk round their garden ?

I have 2 dogs and I am sure people would not like it if I walked over there lawn dropped litter and let my dogs dodo everywhere.  But people just think its the countryside no-one will mind.

Not getting too upset honest!!!

On my travels recently I have seen several signs for people in cars to slow down due to free range chickens and children! Might be worth adding children even if you don't have any as peope are more likely to be concerned about hurting children than 'dumb animals'.

NOT my view of chickens obviously, ok they're not very sensible but they are intelligent in some ways - like who's feeding them, who cleans them out etc.

Does anyone find these signs amusing?  slow-children playing rather than SLOW! Children playing.

My fav is this one.
