My strawberry bed is 2 years old, I built it from runners off my old patch and moved it to a different spot. However the crop has been poor, in no way as good as that of the old bed. I have got hold of some good quality well rotted horse manure. Would it help if I spread some on now? Any other suggestions? The plants look healthy ish although some leaves are mottled and partly yellow. It’s Cambridge favourite. Thanks for any advice.

I mulched my raised beds with manure a few weeks ago.  I have seakale, asparagus, strawberries and fruit trees in mine and I find they all benefit from this treatment.  The only beds I don't mulch are the herb ones, as they are better grown a bit mean.  It is usually January/February when I get round to this job.

Some bone meal to help the root growth added about now would do no harm either.
