Bumper crop

I was told that my ex barn hens at 74 weeks old were past their peak, hence the slaughter of the other 3,000, i let them out at 8 o'clock this morning and found a bumper crop of eggs, 26 from the henhouse and 24 from the cowshed, they usually lay throughout the day but i'm afraid to go and look, how long are they going to lay like this? i'm completely snowed under with eggs, The big brother henhouse are beating the cowshed girls 26 to 24...............................

peg, you'll have to come and help me eat it, we can invite some of the others, camp in the big field and have a hen party.............

All you need is a tent and a good weekend forecast, we did that last year with a couple we met on holiday invited them and their tent up for the weekend, trundled the barbie out, 6 bottles of my dads homemade wine, nobody remembered anything from 2am onwards.....................

it would be a bit like a bike rally, where all the bikers meet and sit round camp fires comparing engines, only ours would be a chicken rally, could catch on..........

I'll bring tea bags and more cake  

either that or put them in the tree house and take away the ladder  (i have been known to do that) it was bliss.
