According to 5 weather it may get down to 5 degrees by Friday in some parts of the country also lots of heavy rain coming in.

I'm just hardening off a load of plants but may bring them back into the greenhouse if it looks too bad.

So it's worth keeping an eye on your tender stuff.

Wise words richie.  Ne'er cast a clout till May is out.  Really need the rain though.

oh * I left out celery and a few other bits, dahlias, lettuces, pansies. Can't be bothered to fetch em back in now  :roll:

Bet cos I want one day on the plot to get something done it will probably pee it down tomorrow

Tough on me now!
sweetcorn's out, though im  not taking any chances on chillies or toms, they are in a 5* greenhouse all year :-)

i have got extra sweetcorn to put out though, but I hope I dont lose the ones outdoors, Im rather proud of the little geezers

No your mixing two up:

1. March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb

2. Never cast a clout till May is out.

(Clout = warm clothing)

Although May is normally thought to assume to the Hawthorn flowering not the month. Which is a shame caus it is all flowering near me so it may have got it wrong.
