Can I plant in a rubber trug?
« on: May 15, 2008, 09:56 »
I am planting stuff at school.. want to use rainbow coloured trugs
It says they are frost proof so that ok
What about the sun? May it get too hot for the roots?

Thanks
God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done.

I would have thought they would be OK but you'll need to cut drainage holes.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Yes, good drainage holes, and if the trugs are smallish, frequent watering or the roots will cook if the trugs sit in direct sun.
