Worth remembering that although any forecast temperature of 0C or below represents an obvious risk of an air frost, anything less than around +4C can result in a ground frost on calm, clear nights in vulnerable areas (usually low-lying and sheltered, and may just be one part of your plot or garden.)

Hi,
I do use you xcweather 3 allotments, JayG I didn't think it got that cold last night but had a lot of frost on the boat and around the quay this morning. quite glad i put my fleece over my cherry tree last night, it must of been a six sense.
