I was going to ask if this looked any good as we really need one for our garden...

Does it come with bushcutter attachments as well - wasn't sure I understood the description?

Thanks

Hannah :)

Yes, it comes with two different blades and a spool for strimmer cord. :)

One blade describes as a weed blade, the other a thicket blade. It won't be the strongest, likely, but it should do fine for lighter or less frequent work.

The cow handles will make it easier to wield around than the loop handles you get on some smaller or cheaper machines too. :)

Thanks, I'll show it to the OH this evening (after all he's the one that will be using in )

On the other hand, Lidl's Parkside own brand tools - not sure if they still sell that line - were always remarkably good quality for the price and I know many who were, or still are, more than happy with them. :) This looks to have a different brand name on it, but it is quite likely that they still make sure they provide good quality.

Let us know if OH goes for it. :D

Can't see any reason at all why it wouldn't be worth a punt at £99, but don't read too much into the warranty as in most cases it's down to how you use it/ look after it that will invalidate an extended warranty like this.
Give it a go !

Yes that would be a very brave warranty to honour, the big name manufacturers insist on annual dealer servicing to keep their extended ones in force.
One thing in the lidl machines favour is it looks to have a full crank but that tri tip brush blade will soon find any weakness if used in earnest ;) :).

HELP -  I can't decide whether to go out at lunchtime and buy it or now

Not bought much from Lidl before but always found Aldi to be good quality stuff for the price, but only ever bought electric or manual items not petrol...

I went down first thing and bought one, so hopefully I'll be able to lift and use it!

There was apparently a man waiting before the doors opened, to make sure of getting one!!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Oh well, I'm sur they'll have them again... Next year...

Review part 1.

Can't work out how to open the box  ::)

Will need to investigate safety gear somewhere - what do I need?  Have got safety specs and hard boots.
