All I could do today was  to pick the broken glass up, lost 6 24 x 24 panes from the greenhouse  the door I found about 10 feet away >:( Going to replace with polycarbonate sheets, not quite as stable as glass but far less dangerous.

Hope all is ok when you get there.

I planned to go tomorrow when I get a few hours free but that's cancelled.... my sister tells me she is "unavailable to visit mum" so she wont be doing her bit to help (half-term school holidays so she is away again leaving me to get on with it!)

I think I might give it a couple of days to let the neighbouring plot holders retrieve their sheds and greenhouses, not having either at the plot sometimes helps.

Just popped down to the plot to check the damage. All is ok except half the covering on the shed roof has come off. It is far too windy to do anything about it today so that will be tomorrow's job.

Too wet for the allotment today, but went to West Yorkshire Organics' Potato Day instead.  All varieties 15p a tuber.  They didn't have Ambo though.  Went for small numbers of more varieties.  This year I am growing Sharpe's Express, Home Guard, Pentland Javelin, Wilja, Charlotte, Picasso and Cara.  Most at the allotment, but some in a barrel at home.

Well greenhouse has gone, even the door has vanished, all that remains is a huge amount of broken glass. Water butts ( that were full!) vanished, can't find them. Basically total devastation,. So upset, could have cried when I saw it .  :(  :(  :( . Not going to replace the greenhouse, its not worth the heartbreak.

Onion seedlings looking it a bit sickly but they are growing, very slowly  :)

Got a phone call from my son, saying there was a delivery of bark chippings at allotment. So went down and had a couple of barrowloads. Will put around the fruit bushes.
Was sunny at the time, thank goodness!!! ;)

So sorry for those who have suffered damage.  Our site looks OK but then we have no sheds or greenhouses, also it is quite sheltered with tall hedges and trees.  I planted a Gaultheria shallon and rigged up a "cane store" with a weldmesh cloche I had inherited: turned it upside down and hung from a couple of nail-infested posts I also inherited.  Thus canes (inherited out of the rubbish in the hedge) are neatly available and something like rhubarb can still grow underneath.  Went to the closing-down garden centre and bought another rhubarb (Victoria), made a number sign for the plot, but fell asleep before I could go back up the plot to install either.  Will go up tomorrow before Morris practice.
