I would say yes depending on your location. I am in Hampshire and have planted out tomatoes and French beans. On my allotment I have even seen sweet corn and runners.(with protection)
I have also put out one courgette but the others are still being hardened.
If you have a quick google you can find a website that tells you last frost dates. As I recall second week in May is the average for Hampshire, hence my decision to start planting out.
Cheers HH
Keep digging

Nobody can give an absolute guarantee as to when it's safe (not that many years since there was a widespread frost in early June. )

Where I am I'll start thinking about it in about a week's time, but only after a long hard look at the weather forecasts, checking my biorhythms, consulting my astrologer and finding where in my shed I've hidden my fleece!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

The question " is it safe " is really not a good question because while you may indeed plant out some more tender plants the real question is will the be happy to grow? I planted out a load of tomatoes on Wednesday in a nice 25 plus degrees  and Thursday was lovely too... Friday the temp dropped 15 degrees and it has been cold, wet and windy since and will continue until Wednesday... I would have been better waiting a week really. O course there comes a time when something has to be planted but it pays to watch the meteo !

I've spent a happy day putting out the geraniums, and was going to ask everyone their thoughts, so thank you Juvenal!

They were actually in a semi hardening-off shelf outside, which I covered each night, but bullets are there to be bitten..:0]

Toms out next, close to the house, but the GH tom crop won't be affected of course!

I put out my runner beans, toms and even some cucumbers today

But have plenty more still safe in pots in one of the tunnels just in case...

I usually plant out on cup final day.

Mine would never get out in that case as I’ve no idea when it is 😂😂

One glass of red wine too many and I forgot to bring the tomato plants in last night.  They look healthier than I do this morning!

Us soft Southerners often take a chance at planting out  towards the end of May. But it's often a gamble.

Good hardening off is very important too, don't rush it.

I'm putting my dwarf beans out next weekend, the squash and sweet potatoes over the bank holiday. May this year in Sussex has regressed in terms of temperature, thanks to winds blowing continuously from a northerly to easterly direction (i.e. cool), so I'm not rushing to plant out the more delicate crops.
