i think that means they are not being pollinated.

are they inside or outside? and are there any male flowers open and lots of insect activity?

you always get some rotting off, same with courgettes. It just happens unfortunately

Bit unlucky though if none of them make it. I'd be surprised if you don't get any

I've had a similar thing happen as well. I've got three pumpkin plants and have just got 4 pumpkins formed. I've had loads falling off that have not been pollinated. To be honest I probably wouldn't buy any pumpkins, let alone 4, in a year so I'm not really going to suffer too much!

I never bought pumpkins either, not something that ever crossed my food radar, but now

Once you start growing and eating them there's no going back. My list of 'must grow' pumpkins and squashes is getting longer

I am actually really looking forward to making pumpkin pie. I'm just waiting for the first one to ripen.

some pumpkins (here I go   ) are better for pie production than others

I grow pie varieties and this year and last grew Green Striped Cushaw. Am growing some white cushaws too this year as well. A variety called Jonathan which some kind person gave me the seed of

I grew the pie squashes on the basis that my niece would make the pies. We went to her house for dinner one afternoon and she presented the dessert without comment. I thought it was chocolate tart but it was my pumpkin turned into a lovely pie.  Never eaten it before but it's lovely  :D

This is my first year growing them and I've got Spellbound on the go. I've got plans for pie and also a pumpkin ravioli to try out.

My son would be popping out his eyes!

Im gutted mine are useless, it would have been the perfect thing to pique his interest. Instead, his sunflowers were gotten by the slugs and his pumpkins are rotting off

It really bugged me, very disappointing
