Yellow leaves on climbing french beans
« on: July 24, 2013, 19:52 »
Hi

I grow runner beans and climbing french beans in the same bed. The runner beans are fine but the leaves are dying at the bottom of the french beans and they don't look good at all. Any ideas why?

Thanks

My bottom leaves look like that, but all the new leaves are perfect.

Leaves die when they get old...a bit like people. I've been removing dead leaves from tomato, courgette and squash plants today but as long as the rest of the plant looks OK it's not a problem.

I gave mine some potash. Removed the worst ones - all better now. :)
