mine got their foliage eaten by slugs way before blight appeared last year (I didnt weed round them) I have a few volunteers from last year popping up now.

Update - spuds have started appearing in the last couple of days ... let's hope they aren't frightened off by the weather on its way. just had a massive hail storm and it's freeeeeezzzzzzzzing ........Thanks all

Is it not ok to keep them then? I've got tiny shoots on the plot finally today, but the volunteers in the garden clay are looking really lush, was pleased at the thought of freebies.  I didn't plant at home this year as I've got the plot now  :blink:to

hi got mine covered up yesterday hoops and plastic sheeting currently 6.0c in lancashire there could be a frost not taking any chances got nipped last year set them back a few weeks.
