Here's one I saw at Ryton Gardens a couple of years ago. It's hard to tell what the mesh has been made of but I think it might just be lengths of string/rope criss-crossed across the poles.

Got the frame built today, but forgot to buy any chickenwire so that'll have to wait for another day.

The beds are 2ft wide x 6ft long, and the uprights are 6ft, however I found that once I'd bashed the uprights a foot into the ground the whole thing was a bit too low; so fettled it by creating a V at the top for extra height and to give enough space for me to walk under.
I also added a couple of hotizontal 1" strips of timber to attach the chickenwire to for a bit of extra support
Timbers were 2"x3" pressure treated, so should hopefully last. If I were to be build it again I'd use 8ft uprights

This as promised is the Chinese teams one.  They've got debris netting but the squash grown over the top of the wooden slats but under the netting.

I'll ask them next time they are down- but I think in season they grow a lot of 'greens' chinese cabbage and pak choi and the like inside the frame with the squash over the roof to give it all shade.  There's cabbage in there at the moment.

Final picture on this (until I get stuff growing up it  :D )

Netted the frame at the weekend with help from SWMBO. Used chicken wire on the sides, and thicker 3mm wire cage material for the roof section. Fingers crossed it'll do the job

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, but do you intend the flowers to go through the netting before  setting fruit, or  will the squashes sit on top ?
