Can someone please just reassure me .... when placing the codliver oil down it must be placed past the small hole at the end of the tongue as this hole leads to the lungs .... am i correct ?
Any helpful thread will be appreciated

Do you mean impacted crop? When the crop feels hard? Then yes oil down past the hole

Sour crop is when it feels all squishy and smells, then it's a case of trying to get rid of some of the liquid.
Best bet for sour crop would be the vet I think?

Why cod liver oil? 

A little vegetable oil would be better but not too much.  The best thing to use for impacted crop is liquid paraffin but you have to get that from your vet.

Got Liquid parafin from our local chemist. STill freely available but prob not so popular commercially.

Syringe with flexible tubing is reckoned to be the safest method but I couldn't find any tubign to fit the end of my syringe.
