Gotcha! look what has been munching our veggies!!
« on: August 30, 2011, 17:58 »
I posted a few weeks ago about the deer eating our beans and things and asked for some advice  ....  I tried as suggested, coal tar soap.

I duly hung it around the plot on bits of string inside old socks... 8)  looks a bit strange but it works!  :D  thanks so much for the tip, my beans and things have survived!

Since then I managed to get a pic of the little so n so!

Thought you might like to see him. :) ;)

Looks like it to me! I recall that's what "we" suggested  the culprit was...... Wrong place in your plot, but lovely to see anyway.  :D

aww how sweet  ::) I think I could forgive it, much prettier than a slug or snail or pigeon
some people are like slinkys......they're really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face as you push them down the stairs!!

:D Well I don't know what slug tastes like  but I'd agree, definitely a lot better than snail and somewhat better than pigeon.  :D

When my sister first moved to the Lakes she was so happy when a deer came in the garden.

Since then she has tried growing veggies, roses, allsorts...put a high fence up.

The novelty soon wore off!
