That is unusual.  They go into a sort of trance once asleep and that is it until dawn.

Could a security light be going off and keeping the coop light?

My brother had this issue with his rather loud boy at winter time. Wasn't sure if he was being disturbed in the early hours by noise, but he put roost time back by providing more light in the dark evenings so his wake time eventually blended with more human type alarm calls From 4am to 7ish
