with there incubators after 2 people on here had loses in there incubators

i took it upon my self to look into it now i have read pages of data on this

and i have come up with a idea

now out of what i have read the 99% of the success the people have not washed there eggs

now if you think about this the hen dont wash the egg now they recon it washes off a film on the shell

and this can effect the hatching now there is as far as i can see no scientific data to support this but  if you look at the percentage of success rate of people that dont wash the eggs

to them that do there is evidence to support this

My mate the gamekeeper washes his pheasant eggs with a purpose made disinfectant or antibacterial wash of some kind. He does this with every single egg he puts in the incubator. He obviously thinks that its worth it, I'll try and find out what it is and whether its available in small quantities.

you will always get conflicting ideas on ...wash or not to wash.

its a personal preference, an inccy and a broody are two completely different things. a hen will shove out a bad egg before it has a chance to pass the bugs onto any others.

a mild solution of egg sanitizer is advised for really dirty eggs.

it could have been pooped on
