That's promising ... I'm about to throw in the towel with the standard ones as they have been stripped completely again this year.

Did you lose them or did they die?

Drowned when the plot flooded winter before last. I've since moved to another plot which already had plenty of red rasps so haven't replaced them. I found that the fruits (All Gold variety) were a bit less robust for storing than their red cousins but equally delicious to eat or make jam.
