More climbing and runner beans went out.  More summer squash plantd out.  Harvested all my autumn sets of onions.  Some nice big Onions but about 5% had white rot.  Dug over the bed BFB and cauliflower and Kale went in.  Weeded and watered.  The International Kidney potatoes are looking fantastic, I can see a few laying on top of the bags.

Put out 3 rhubarb plants (2 Victoria , 1 Glaskin), how long do you think before I kill them  ::) , built the worlds most rickety bean frame for some cobra climbing beans . Found the pots of sweat peas Id sown and forgotten about - they're rather crispy !

Looking around everything seems to have just stopped, we're forecast some rain at the end of the week hopefully that will kick start everything again.

Planted out my parsnips (in paper pots, so I hope they do OK), weeded and counted melons.

Sounds busy out there!   :)

I sowed: sweet william seed, oriental salad, mixed salad and more beetroot.

Picked strawberries.

Watered.

Cut one 120' hedge, trimmed three others and nipped back indoors to sort out dinner.

Bit of weeding this morning, and dug up a few spuds for this evening's meal. Allotment check today from committee, I wonder who are going to get the grumpy letters this time?
who pinched me marrow?

Got loads of work done today.  All the front beds weeded, all the paths strimmed, everything fed and watered.  The PT tidied up.

Having not been down for over 2 weeks because life seemed to get in the way I was worried about what I would find.... Ragwort and willow herb were attempting to take over the world  so spent both days this weekend doing LOTS of weeding. I can't wait for my hoe to arrive as I could barely move my back last night!

I also dug up a third of my potatoes, harvested the small amount of gooseberries (only their first year so am pleased) and the last of the peas.

Despaired at the state of the onions and the rubbish germination of beetroot again. All brassicas doing well though.
