Will pumpkins that are picked green turn to orange  if they are placed in a sunny position? ie a sunny patio or conservatory?

Hi Jazzy,

Yes they will although it's by no means guaranteed! What the pumpkins like is lots of sun and warmth (something that has been sadly lacking this summer :x ). if they are off the vine, store them in a sunny place with lots of warmth and they should start to turn orange. If only one side turns just swivel the fruit around so the sun gets to the other side as well.

Hope this helps!
