I have some gooseberrys growing on my gooseberry bushes that I planted last year (pink ones) and about 10 blueberrys forming on the blueberry bushes, told my 3 year old grandaughter, who is blueberry mad and she said  "wow" so thats me chuffed,  I only realised they were on there just as I was leaving, so had to hurredly cover them all with a bit of netting

It is always exciting when things start growing! It seems so early! The blueberries i grow are only just starting to look leafy!

I took over a second half plot in March this year and decided to leave two fairly old and sorry looking gooseberry bushes until I decided what I wanted to grow and where.
Imagine how I felt (like Starry) when I lifted up a few leaves last weekend and Hey Presto!! loads of baby gooseberries!!
I will thin them out soon and use them for a pie or something so that the remainder can grow to full size. I am so glad I didnt dig the bushes up.
