1st Harvest and compliments

Great day - Offically today my plot is cleared and took home a carrier bag full of efforts so far.

Spinach, carrots (baby) and broad beans

Plus a plot holder two down said he couldn't believe how much I'd achieved with three young children in tow and how good it all looked . Gave me three leeks from his last batch.

sounds good. I have eaten all my radishes (only planted one short row as a 'tweeny' crop. Am hoping for early spuds soon as they are about to flower, got a good crop growing in the compost heap too from the throw aways from last year!! Thought they'd rot down but was wrong!

Next stage is pushing it back by the wheelbarrow load.

Congrats on your first harvest. I'm very excited as I got my first potatoes of the year today - not very many as they could really do to grow on a bit but they tasted divine, exactly like I'd been dreaming of for the last few weeks! Gloat, gloat....
