potatoes, varieties and time !

hello all, a couple of questions.. I planted my early seed potatoes a couple of weeks ago, Arran Pilot and Pentland Javelin..Anyone grown these varieties and if so any good ?, secondly, when will they be ready for lufting.. i think june time?.. finally, \i'm using raised beds, what would be good to put in after the earlies ??? Thanks all, John :D

Juneish, yup.

You may be able to squeeze some leeks in afterwards, there's always lettuce, radish etc, if you want to wait a bit - spring cabbage. You may even be able to do lettuce, followed by spring cabbage.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Yep, arran pilot was my first early I grew on the plot, good cropper but the spuds were a bit big for my liking, pentland going in this year for the first time but a lot grow em on our plot. If you the smaller salad size then lift them a as they flower or if you want a bigger one then wait for the flower to end. As for crops to follow, I am putting me lettuce in along with other salad crops then some rows of Lisbon winter bunching onions which should give me the little onions over winter.
