Why have some of pumpkins ...

... germinated and some haven't?  All on the same window sill, same compost, same pot size, same flaming seeds!  

I could understand it if the ones on one or other end of the windowsill, but it's one here and there!

The seeds that haven't germinated are soft and squidgy when I dug em up ...  :?

Duff batch probably, where they your own saved seed or bought ?

Surely you wouldn't expect 100% germination rate?

Perhaps overwatering has rotted them?  Dunno really and please don't beat me up, wellies, I don't work at the bank that ruined your afternoon!  :wink:

if propagation temperatures are not warm enough or inconsistant this can lead to seeds rotting,look on the bright side,you didnt lose them all :) how many atlantic giant pies can a family stand,probably a good thing you lost a few :lol: your dad might get a bigger one now :lol:

and somtimes because of there shape n size they can crack in the packet have a close look at em
feed the soil not the plants
