They're having a giraffe - egg production stopped

Whats the crack, im new to this chook game and i think my girls know that too!. I got 5 pol (light sussex x fenning, suffok black tail, medelsham amber, cou cou maran x fenning, black fenning and dave the silkie cockerel). Had them about 4wks and have been getting 1-2 eegs a day.
Until the last wk or so, as soon as I let them roam the bottom of the garden they have downed tools and production has stopped. I feed them on layers
pellets and corn and veggies. Or is it because they have new girls (blue bell,
medelsham amber, a black hen with white on her neck?). :?:

How much corn you giving them ? too much makes em chubby, also POL sometimes take a while to kick in to production.

Yes i think i have over feed them , compaired to the new girls my other 5 are begining to look a little chubby.

Could be that then, cut down the corn and only feed it last thing before bed time. Might be worth giving them less layers for a while as well.

Are you sure they are not laying away :?:

Have a look under bushes and in the hedges for secret stashes of eggs :roll:

tried looking in garden but still no eegs.I think it was only 2 hen that where laying, but since I have let them out of the pen it has stopped. Is it still early days or once they start they don't stop :?:

It could be a change of diet now they have their freedom. Are they still eating a good amount of theor chicken feed :?:

I've put mine on a bit of a diet since Munty said I was probably overfeeding them, but if anything, they are worse!!! This last few days, 24 eggs from 64 chooks!!!!! OH keeps threatening them with the saucepan!!!! (not literally!!!! lol)

well I was advisted by my son's boss(who keeps freegrange chooks) to throw the feed on the ground and leave about 50% in the feed tray.
And yes it is beeing eaten :?:

Have they been wormed ? apparently that can affect egg laying, I need to do mine but can't find a smaller pack of flubanvet than the gamekeepers pack which at £13.99 costs more than my hens did and treat loads of them :?

When I bought my flubenvet I shared it around with other hen keepers and split the cost.
