Huckleberries ?

Has anyone tried growing Huckleberries from seed ?  If so is there any sort of special treatment needed to get them to greminate.  :roll:

i grew some about 8 or so years back in my mothers garden - they were easy to grow, just plant in rows with a dibber and up come a load of little bushes - but difficult to do anything with having grown them - they have to deseeded to make jam a process that takes forever and a day , and once made it actually wasnt that nice

an interesting experiment but not one i'm going to repeat.
