Just dug up the last of my leeks from last year.  Don't yer just love growing things  8)

Wow... great looking leeks!

What variety are they?

I've got about 8 smallish ones left... poor things were always 2nd best to a bigger one!

we dug up the last of our leeks ...our dear son said i can see the spring onions, wheres the leeks? :oops:  ...well done aunty!
ps. you dont look bad for 300+  :lol:

My neighbour grows leeks as big as Aunt Sally's, but mine look more like srebmob's, so I guess I can't blame the soil...

Still, they nice and juicy all the same, just less to go around. Is it down to variety or what you put on them, or a combination? Until last year, I'd never grown leeks.

I planted the leeks where I had just pulled out a crop of broad beans so maybe the nitrogen from their root nodules did me a favour  :idea:
