We found some and put them in about two weeks ago

They havent changed at all but they look perky LOL I know I expect miracles over night  :oops:

You can buy leek plants on ebay, says winter variety pencil thick ready to go in now. My mum wants me to get her some for her allotment but was wondering if it was a bit late. Might get her some and see if they work out. Don't out bid me now I've told you they're there :D

Thanks for the replies. Just bought some today at homebase  :( the only one's I could find.  Put them in today, they were very small and thin, so here's hoping.  They can only do one of two things.  :)

We've got two trays here, ready to plant. So fingers crossed. We just love leeks over the winter, scrummy soup here we come!

I may be wrong   :wink:   but if they are really tiny then its likely your leeks will be small over winter like spring onion (but some people like it that way & use all the green leaves as well) rather than the fat white ones you would see in the supermarkets.

A spring onion OH no I wanted the big ones like I get in tesco LOL  :lol:
