I splashed out on a R-Com 20 PRO and have to say have had mixed results. Had teething problems with the humidity being completely uncontrollable as the base of the thing was flooding. Turned out that there was a piece of the water valve missing. None of the eggs hatched. 10 of 13 fertile eggs hatched in the next batch but had to help some of them out. Know that naturesparadise also had problems with the same incubator (I do worry that it might be my eggs though).
Not sure that they are really worth the money but I needed an automatic one as I work and have a feeling there are cheaper, more reliable models.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

i dont think it was your eggs Kate as they all died and that dont happen often
maybe you would lose say 3 but all 7 is not sumit that happens not 1 day from hatch anyway

i really do think its an over priced toy i think this one is way better

nope sorry....not good enough...ring next time and take note of who you spoke to and what time you rang...if you not happy with their answer ask to speak to a line manager...if still no happy vibe tell them you want their name etc and that you will be in touch after you have spoken to CAB.

just got this email
Quote
Hi if you clean them after every use this will not occur. It is just a part of regular maintance.

If you wipe them down firmly this will wipe off and it will be fine just clean them down after each use.

presumably u have tried to "wipe off".....looks like  it would need a ruddy dremel to get it off from that pic! does it have a care and maintenance section in the handbook? if so what it say in there?

to be honest i think you would...i would go to the CAB, or even get advice online and tell them that had sought advice from the CAB and was told that the item was not fit for the purpose for which it was sold, however all I want is replacement rods and I will be most happy to leave it at that. But because it works now, most people wouldnt bother to either... my only thought is what happens 8 months down the line, when it goes again, and scrubbing doesnt sort it, but by then its out of guarantee?....or whatever the length of time is.... it would be my luck to go completely pearshaped....lol... but then thats my luck....
