And by the way A Elf, I think I asked you which, in your opinion, was the best all rounder strawberrywise 'cause I need guiding towards success.

Afraid I don't know Livinhope - Mine are nearly all grown from runners (for many years) and I can't remember what varieties they are. The rest are rescue plants from the reduced shelf at the garden centre - no idea of the varieties, sorry  :blink:
There's more comfrey here than you can shake a stick at!

Actually you are better off choosing a few different strawbs so you get fruit all season. Just get a few earlies, a few lates and then anything else.

Okay thanks aelf, that's usually the way it is, you save seed, or cuttings and then eventually forget the origin.  It's okay because we were given a large feed of strawberries by another plot holder and they were super, quite pale coloured but sweet and delicious, if I grovel and ask what they are he will, more than likely, do me some runners.
