Hi mum just followed this strawberry container link,wow what a brilliant idea i have only been thinking today were on earth am i going to plant the strawberry runners no funds avaliable to buy more pots so this is a godsend finding this on here tonight thankyou. :)

I suppose the moral of this is, before you throw anything away study it closely and see if there is a use for it som,ewhere in the garden.  I try to grow as much as possible in supermarket meat trays.

There is an ice cream, can't remember which one, but on top there is a little plastic cone.  I raised some late sweetcorn under these, they had their own little cloches. ::)

As the strawberry expert - what, in your opinion is the best all round strawberry, for jam, freezing etc.  and in a bowl with cream?

Hi livinhope you are good with your tips lol i shall remember that one next year for my sweetcorn.I have seen them they are from cornetto flake in boxes of four from tesco.

I'm no expert, I just look at things and try to think of a reason to give them a new life when the old one is over.
