Can I add the ‘two house brick squidge’ method? Just collect them on a brick then squidge with another brick – works a treat. As it is quick and I don’t have to look them in the eye then I think it is pretty humane. Must remember to count them first though as it is not that easy afterwards…!

I was out at 12 last night and caught an army of snails needless to say they were thrown out into the street via my hand fork. Meanwhile though they were acting as a decoy for the slugs attacking my peas in the other garden! Argghhh!!!!!!

Found a large roman tucking into my potted basil last night....being stuffed with herbs it should have got the fried in garlic butter treatment.
Instead there was a satisfying and vindictive scccccrunnnnchhh.

I presume this is light hearted humor, but I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering about the mental stability of some of the posters.  ???

If you wanted to have slug predators doing some of your work for you, the unfortunate truth is you need some level of slug population for them to eat. Removing them all will give you a sizable problem if you go on holiday. The slugs will be there with no opponents, they'll have a field day.

I also hopefully presume that this is an attempt at light-hearted humour, however I know that quite a few members would not appreciate jokes about mental stability.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I am sure the team would be happy to accept variations on the half-moon grass edger, the spade and salty-water methods.  ;)

Our only concern might be health & safety aspects for the brick-wielders. Mind your thumbs!

Sorry I don't think I can manage the two brick method  :( -- it conjures up images of camels and a certain operation,

and that puts me off a bit a lot
