Care for shears?
« on: May 05, 2009, 19:31 »
What's the best way to stop shears from going rusty in the shed.
I bought new ones last year but when i got them out to use they are full of rust. I've cleaned the rust off as much as i can and sharpened them, but how do i stop them rusting so badly again?

I've got an old flannel in the shed, with cooking oil on it and I wipe the blades over before I put the shears away. Had it years and it hardly gets t'opped up' at all.

It's called WD 40 because it stands for Water Dispersant and it took them 40 goes to get the recipe right.  (Not a lot of people know that). Love the smell would wear it as a perfume if I could get away with it!
