trying to harden up veg

trying to harden up veg

typical British weather today....for the past 2 days I've been putting my veg out to harden but this morning it was awful infact all day has been awful so I kept them in....Am I being too soft or sensible?

Yep, definitely sensible. I have lots of days here that just aren't worth the risk of hardening off outside, not until I build some permanent and insulated cold frames.

I did open the vent as I was going to be out all day... seemed Ok when I got home and a cuci was up   :)

why hasnt anyone invented a greenhouse with a sliding roof,when its raining you could slide the roof off,hey presto no faffing about taking trays in and out day after day
