Earthed up the broad beans; dug some more of the last remaining patch to be cleared on plot two. The closer I get to finishing the bigger it seems to be getting.   :D

well spent the day running in and out of the green house between the rain

tidy up the greenhouse
re-potted the tom's 15 of them into 1ft pots using grow bag
re-potted cucumbers 20 of them same size pot but 2 in each
gave everything a good water

How big is your greenhouse? ???

Dry today! Yipee! Even some sunshine! Possibly burned back. Dug over the bed for the broadbeans (for the third time so hopefully most of the nasty weeds are gone), getting sick of digging up rotten potatoes, the plot is full of them (did the last plot holder grow anything else?! - Yes actually, onions and marrows - all rotten too! Seems last plot holder preferred growing to eating!). Dug  potash, soil conditioner and a few chicken manure pellets into broad bean bed. Dug out two more beds and made two more paths with brick edgings (run out of bricks again!). Paths covered with weed control fabric and bark. Planted a few Tumbleberries. Checked rubbish plants bought from online retailer. Honey berries still looking poor and rhubarb sad, two of the Lingonberries picked up, but think the third may be terminal. Starting to see progress with the plot now which is nice.

Nothing today but digging to clear more tomorrow
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

After a re-design of the gardens, Mrs Plots is considering nematodeeese as an alternative to the blue-bomb slug bait.

I think we might need several packets to do the whole garden right through the slug & snail season.

On Sunday I put up a collapsible Greenhouse between the fruit trees.
Planted 40 turnips & dug some more chicken manure into the bed for the peas & beans.

Probably start off some more Runners beans today & give the hens paving slabs a clean.

I had a walk down to the allotment with the dog and earthed up the first earlies that have just started to show. Also found that mice have dug up all my peas  will have to try again and use the paraffin method i think.

Nothing again! it has rained on every 1 of the last 7 days, so it's too wet to do anything :(

I've been greenhouse pottering in the garden, but that's all  :(

Sowed a row of T&M taped Nantes 2 carrots alongside the maincrop and will be sowing parsnips for the next 3 rows!

weeded 7th plot where the brassica's are going to be and sowed 6 purple broccoli (I think) and either 15 cauliflower/brussel sprouts in the cleared area.

feeling happy now that i got an 8ft x 4ft space to weed now where the 10 remaining brussel sprouts/cauliflower will be planted plus the kale and green broccoli will go and then the remaining plot will have all root vegetables sown
A novice gardener and looking forward to getting seriously fit with my allotment!

The allotment is 16 ft wide and roughly 90 ft long split into 8 plots!
