Just watered
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

Watered plot and culticaves. Rigged up more tomato support with insulation pipe over a spare greenhouse staging pipe and now the stuff underneath has more light and air. Harvested about 2kg charlotte potatoes from the first growing bag  and also took home lots of beet leaves for salad, a couple of touchstone gold beets and 7 baby yellow courgettes. All v tasty!

Failed to avoid the flying biting things.  >:(

Weeded all day, it was getting bad because I have been doing so much picking. Tidied the frontage as we are getting inspected again.

I spent the entire day working on the garden.  I ended up having to have a burn up of the remaining birch branches we had pruned back in winter, which had been previously too wet to burn.  Not exactly the weather for it, but it is all done now.  I also started clearing loads and loads of plant pots, putting them in storage crates ready for the new shed.

I went up the plot briefly to water the GH and pots.  Also harvested a load of strawbs, courgettes and lettuce.  I also took four blueberry bushes up to the plot with the aim to plant them in a designated bed and cover with a small fruit cage.

Watered loads and loads in the hope everything survives my 11 day hol.... I pulled up the last of the lettuce that was going off and tied up the toms that look like a jungle.

I also noticed I have tassels on 2 of my sweetcorn - yay! I am praying that the make-shift barricade will be enough to deter the badger/deer and I will come back to some corn.

I also made myself feel sick eating far too many peas as I worked with the reasoning that there wasn't enough to freeze and they wouldn't last until I came back..

Weeded, weeded and weeded some more. Delightful weeding at the moment, even by hand.
