popped to the plot on my now weekly visits, went to both plots, accumulated 1 1/2 buckets of peas and assorted beans, potatoes, onions, garlic and some artichokes.

Hubby dashed up to collect something at lunchtime and seemed to have got lost.

Three hours later he arrived back  he's dug in florists buckets in most of the beds to help the watering. Put in two posts. Put some slabs dividers in beds, cleared the peas out and re-dug both beds plus re-dug broad bean bed and put in netting poles. The cabbage and swede will go in tonight now.

It was far too hot to be up there up hes male and knows better  no sun cream but he did for the first time ever wear a cap or is that what i spy on top of a post in one picture   ::) he must be hot as hes in the back garden under the hose.

Had a blooming marvellous if slightly mixed day on the allotment, did LOTS of weeding, but in the process hoed off a couple of really good squash plants which was dissapointing. I have still got about 70 left, so I will manage.

However, did get 3 lovely Lavender plants planted (£2.99 each, bargain), lots of Rocket transplanted (we'll see how it goes), and 2 Chou D'Aubenton perennial Kale plants planted (Can't tell you how excited I am about these! Very rare, randomly found on Gumtree, other websites are available).

Accidentally threw my new builders bucket in the dyke and had to rescue it (note to self: check that the piece of string you are using to hoik water out of the dyke is ONE piece!). A £1 bargain, will remember the shop next year when I need buckets for Tomatoes.

Chatted with the other plot holders, one lent me 2 of his bottom less buckets to protect my Chou D'aubenton, very valuable!

I even took some photos, in fact lots of photos, BUT can I find the blinking cable? Can I heck. May well be at work which is no use to anyone.

Dug up Onions and Garlic and left them to dry.  Watered and sprayed for blight.  Harvested - Beetroot, Spinich, Lettuce, Spring Onions, Tomatoes, Courgettes, Sweet pea, Dahlias, Blackcurrents, Gooseberries, Tayberries and Strawberries.  The best harvest I have ever had happy happy person!!

Came home and made 8 pound of Blackcurrent Jam, 4 pound of Gooseberry Jam and 3 large jars of pickled beetroot.  Will make the strawberry jam tomorrow.

Made the frame for my compost bin out of pallets and put a metal roof on it. The plot is starting to change from a patch of weeds into something I am happy with  :)

Pulled up the onions - (now drying in the utility here at home)
Dug over the old vroad bean patch (emptied last week) and put a couple of bags of Westland well rotted manure compost in as those beans have turned the earth to dust! ::)
Emptied 2 bags of Pink Fir Apple potatoes - much better crop than the 2 bags I emptied at home so pleased with these spuds again now :D
Fed everything!! Watered the feed in gently (since it was mid afternoon) just around the roots.
Drove to tip and back with weeds.
Watered the backgarden this evening.

Hubby and daughter went up, he put in another post, sorted and attached another kicker board, dug another patch of ground.

Daughter picked all the bits and son ran up with the ipad to snap some pics.
