I started my leeks weeks ago but they are fine like hair at the moment. I was thinking of trying another variety but is it too late ?

I had a similar problem this year.  I started them off indoors and moved them out mid march.  They have 3 or four fine leaves and that is it.  Planted some more last weekend and they have sprouted.  I don't know how well they will do, but small leeeks are better then no leeks.

Nothing ventured nothing gained.

I have the same problem so I planted some directly to the soil and repotted the remainder I will post if there is any improvement

my second sowing is just grass thin and as soon as I find some space I'll plant them, but I don't mind if mine are thin or baby leeks - they'll all end up in the same place eventually!

Sown now they wont make huge leeks - but hey size isn't everything!

You can plant out closer together then cook and serve whole 'baby leeks' - very trendy
