I've built myself a couple of raised beds and underestimated how much compost/top soil I needed to fill them 

Consequently they are not as full as I would have liked. I am intending to grow carrots and parsnips in them. Do I need to top up further or will they be ok as they are???

Depends what's under the compost you have added!

Carrots and parsnips are going to need at least a foot or more of workable soil depth.

There is about 12-15 inches of compost/topsoil in place at the moment and about 5-6 inches available to fill up.

are they standing on soil or concrete?

Straight onto soil..

Then any long roots  will find their way down into the sol, and there is no reason to add more

They look perfect and you can grow things a little closer than normal in raised beds too.

They look great    Some carrots are stumpy anyway, but it looks as if you've enough depth for just about anything... Enjoy!
