About to install raised beds (6" high) on our allotment, mainly to keep the kids from trampling over the soil! Question is when you grow groups of veg such as "roots" in one bed, can you mix the veg up? By this i mean could you grow several rows of veg in one bed?

I think the answer woul be yes. but remember to stagger plants (or) make sure all plants get enough (fair share) of light.

I always seem to be growing several different veg in one bed as I really don't need a whole bed of most veg. As stated, just be sure to plant the shortest crops at the maximum light end so they're not shaded by any taller crops.
