Hi all,
I posted a few days ago asking for advice on the behaviour of my ex bats-they have been fairly quiet and calm compared to normal.
In the last 2 days though there are white feathers everywhere! Is this an indication they are in moult and could this explain their behaviour and  lack of eggs (eggs for about 1 week wehn we got them but nothing for past 6 weeks!).
We have never had hens before so are still finding our feet so any advice would be much appreciated-ie, how long does this last, is there any changes we need to make to their feed, enviroment etc.

hello , yes it can be that they are moulting ,most animals are at this time of the year  they will slow down or stop while moulting as it takes all thier strength , u can give the some poutly spice for in thier food and apple cider vinger in thier water as a pick me up .

Hi, its quiet possible that the shock of a new home/the rescue etc could be enough to send them into a moult.Thats a good thing though because they will get a break from laying, and get a new set of feathers
