OK, explain this one:

Same compost, same site, same packet of seed:

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

May have to try my (non-existant) transplanting skills.

DD: slugs on the right hand side?

mumofstig: no problem. I used to argue like billy-o on here but I've come to realise that there are as many different ways to garden as there are gardeners and a few more. You just have to go by your own experience and try out some of what others have to offer and take on what works and not necessarily look down on what you find doesn't. My, my - haven't I changed :-)

Not slugs - I've kept an hourly vigil!

Anyway, I've now transplanted some from the left-hand tub. With my delicate 10 thumbs I don't give much hope, but you never know!

I come across a good guide last week about growing carrots, with good details on preparing the soil, along with pictures and a video.

Def going to try this out next year!! :-)

Can you let us know the the carrot guide as It doesn't seem to be appearing and I would love to grow some good carrots.

I've edited the original post so it shows the website link properly now, carrots2  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
