Good luck Mrs Bee! Can't stay in bed either, so am making the bean stew for tonight now.  ::)

Thanks for the hugs Devon. Yes all went very well. And at the moment I am a wonderful daughter.

Although I bit the lip when Mum thanked my sister and I for all our hard work!

Full marks to my sister who said that I had done it all not her.
Just the  S M A X dinner to do the weekend before  S MA X and that is it for the year. It is easier doing a cold buffet and transporting than doing a roast and trimmings 'cos mum's kitchen.....................

I have to take a full battery of cooking implements as she just doesn't have any proper kit! her carving knife wouldn't cut butter. have suggested  getting her a couple of decent knives but just get ranted at that there is nothing wrong with her stuff it does her. :(

Did you have a lovely time at your friends  baby's naming day.

I have one of those - the only thing that works properly on her oven is the eye-level grill, but will she part with it? hell no!

I hope all the early morning activities, cooking & partying go / went well.

Tomorrow morning I have carpets to clean and a kitchen to degrease after my sister and her pals Sunday drop in to see my mother over the road. If I was paid as the hired help it might not seem so d*** unfair.

Anyone esle hate Sundays? :(

I don't hate Sundays, but if I were you I probably would. :(

Does your sister not know how to clean up?  I might get the organising and work for the family get together at mums, but my sister always pitches in and helps when we are there and I never have to wash up and clear up there.  And she will always do anything I ask to help, it is just that I am Mrs organised and know how to cook, and transport.

My sister is excellent at organising from a sitting position with a coffee in her hand - I'm told, by people who have worked with her, that she could drink coffee for England. It's her youngest daughter that cooks lunch on Sundays but she has not got the hang of clearing up afterwards... takes after her mother I guess.  ::)

Never mind I'm sure my sister will be off on another holiday soon and leave me to it with a clean kitchen. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Yes thankyou. It was beautiful. Few too many children there for our liking so we escaped at 5:30pm :D
I'll put the pics up again tomorrow - they're in my HLC club thread!!  I forget others can't see them

Sounds as if your special day went off with a real buzz Mrs Bee - brilliant.

I don't blame you for nipping off when the swarm of little-uns (and bigguns too I expect) grew a little too noisy. You can have too much of a good thing ;)

"Morning everyone" by the way.

It's a bit earlier than I would have liked but my daughter has just got up for work and I was not sleeping well anyway so... early start.

Good morning Kevin & all

Good morning Roger and Kevin and all and all.  :)

I've had my first coffee and about 5 hours sleep so all I need now is some daylight. How about you?

Have a good day.....

I hadn't thought of breakfast until you mentioned it... but I can hear the bacon and eggs in the pan now... imagination I might add.

G'day cobbbers
hmm.  I stuck it in bed until 5am, lunchboxes done but I think the outside fridge has broken down- putting off moving the food indoors for a bit longer, but I have a day at school followed by a meeting   it's going to be a long one!
