Growing courgette/squash under sweetcorn

I have seen this method on tv and read about it, where you can grow squashes under sweetcorn.
Has anyone ever done this and how sucsessful was it?
After looking at 2006 sweetcorn photo I cant imagine the squash getting any light at all. Any thoughts?

Hi - there were some recent threads on the Three Sisters so perhaps you can try a Search for that?

Searching can be a little tricky (not as smart as Google search).

Sister and Sisters are treated as separate words. You'll get the hang of it.

that would be a good add on for the forum,a search tool where you search the forums only,can this be done ?
ive tried searching from the home page with no luck a few times :?
