Running out of windowsill space! Will courgette & squash seedlings be OK in unheated GH? Was going to sow them today.

Has anyone started theirs yet?

Be prepared to cover them if a frost is forecast

They will be OK now in an unheated greenhouse although if it freezes hard (unlikely) they may need extra protection. They can be sown about 4 weeks before the last frost in your area which here in Lancashire is usually the last week in May / first week in June. I aim to plant them out in the second week in June, earlier if I protect them with a cloche.

I've had most of my seedlings in an unheated polytunnel with a bubblewrap "inner greenhouse" for about 2 weeks. The temperature hasn't been down below 9C which I think is OK. The issue is that its been up to 45 even with the doors open.
