broad beans to plant now

can anyone suggest a good variety? Only I just had my first picking from the Aquadulce and they were so good I want more later in the year. I've never planted them this late - will it work?

Just checked Doc Hessayon - plant up until end of May. You might have to plant the variety that you can find to buy!

I asked this a while ago and you can plant up until july apparantly,I hope so `cos i just popped in a packet of suttons!

Thats what itsays on the packet and it says into june in quite a few books so I`m hedging my bets,my earlier bean are about to flower so if this works I hope to just extend the season a bit.

I planted a second lot a couple of weeks ago and they seem to be doing allright.

I was thinking of doing another batch after that in a couple of weeks.

I reckon its worth a go.
