wish the markets would hurry up and open again .
i cant see why there still closed if that Bernard mathews :twisted: is allowed to keep processing poultry. its not as if they cant trace any animals there all registered now arnt they .sorry i is ranting again lol

totally agree especially as it was there that the problem was; they can take the knock from the break in business unlike the smaller poultry farmers. If they can't start up again then he certainly shouldn't!
it just proves that money walks and b.. well, you know the rest :x :x :x

I went along yesterday (Wednesday) to a local one near me on the offchance it would be selling livestock - not a bloomin' chance. 2 weeks they reckon. Did get 34 hatching eggs (mixed fowl) for £4 though! My incubator is full again - must get some banties on the job for me to save leccy.

also got 20 quail eggs - assumed fertile - for 60p. cant be bothered after all with them though, incubator crammed as it is. anyone here hatched quails?

i wonder what will come first your chicks or the markets opening .

Thanks. Have one baby cockerel in brooder at minute to contend with; feisty, cheeky thing. Going to keep him and not put him in the pot. Got 5 chicks at present in total, all hatched in incubator. Fingers crossed the others are hens.

Last 12 eggs I put in, only one was fertile. So perhaps expecting 3 or so from new eggs. Can't grumble for £4!

Will post pics if I get some new ones.

over in ur part yes but not here the rules stil stay inplace , stupid asses have allowed pigeon racing etc bernard mathews can move birds but we are stil in prison ......... spitting nails of kesingland
