Raspberries!!
« on: June 25, 2009, 22:21 »
Hi

I seem to have more raspberries than i can cope with at the moment! Picked this lot tonight, at least two or three more of them to come.

Problem is the new canes (for next year) are growing all over the place, once the last of the fruit has been picked can i cut this years canes down and train next years? We inhereted these and they are all over the place!!

Hi Rowan.
Yes, the fruiting canes die back naturally after fruiting. Cut them back to about 10-12", and keep weed free. tie in the new growth and Feed them in Jan/Feb with some well rotted manure. :)
