Storing hard neck garlic

Hi all,
Has anyone got any good ways of storing hard neck garlic?
I've got some great garlic this year but the hard neck is still very green,
they are still drying on a rack in the garden.

I store mine in a single layer in a mesh plastic tray in the under-stair 'cupboard' built into the side of my house, which is dark, unheated, but probably frost-free - they keep well for up to year, although different varieties probably vary in their keeping abilities.

Obviously best not to store them until they are dry, although because the cloves don't have juicy necks they are not as prone to develop rot as onions and shallots can be in my experience.
